Apply for this role →Our client, a luxury women's apparel company is seeking a General Manager to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store performance and drive key sales metrics
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, client engagement, and overall store performance
- Build and maintain a strong clienteling program through appointments, outreach, and personalized service
- Develop local marketing, community outreach, and event initiatives to drive store traffic and build the client base
- Partner cross-functionally with Buying, Planning, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Operations teams
- Oversee inventory management, replenishment, transfers, receiving, returns, and other omnichannel operations
- Establish and maintain operational procedures and ensure the store consistently meets company standards
- Manage store facilities, vendors, and day-to-day operational needs
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- Set clear expectations and KPIs while coaching and developing employees
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused store environment
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and the overall customer experience
Qualifications:
- 8–10+ years of retail management experience
- Proven experience driving store sales, traffic, conversion, AOV, and UPTStrong clienteling experience with the ability to build and grow a personal client book
- Experience developing community partnerships, events, and local initiatives
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail operations, including inventory management and ship-from-store
- Proficiency with Shopify POS and Google Workspace; Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Highly organized with strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with a strong understanding of luxury and elevated service
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Full Time On Site.
