Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. The CWI will be responsible for inspecting welding activities, ensuring work meets applicable codes and specifications, and maintaining accurate quality documentation.

Responsibilities: Inspect welds and welding procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes. Perform visual inspections and identify welding defects or quality issues. Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection documentation. Use measuring and inspection tools to verify weld quality and dimensions. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Communicate inspection findings with welders, supervisors, and project management. Assist with resolving quality issues and ensuring corrective actions are completed. Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required. Previous experience in welding inspection, fabrication, or a related field. Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes, and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to communicate effectively with production and management teams. Ability to work independently and make sound quality-control decisions.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with structural, industrial, or commercial welding. Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and other applicable welding codes. NDT certifications or experience are a plus. Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.\nCompany
