Job Description: SummaryThe Radiology Student Tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of demonstrating structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention. Responsibilities include preparing equipment used to expose the x‑ray film, developing and organizing films, and preparing patient rooms, supplies, and medications (contrast agents). Radiology Student Tech I DutiesTransport and monitor patients as necessary. May perform x‑rays (abdomen, upper, and lower extremities) under supervision, once required clinical competencies are completed. Radiology Student Tech II DutiesPerform x‑rays unsupervised (including fluoroscopy and surgery) after completing required clinical competencies.
