Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and initial evaluations to identify the mental health needs of clients. Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy. Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, families, and couples, delivering evidence-based therapies that promote healing and growth. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients, participating in case reviews and team meetings. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay up-to-date with the latest mental health research and practices. Patient Population / Client FocusOur LPCs work with a diverse client base, including individuals and families who often encounter barriers to accessing traditional care. You will provide emotional and mental health support to clients struggling with various issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your role is vital in facilitating access to mental health services for those who face challenges in obtaining help, thereby making a significant impact on their lives.
Qualifications: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required. Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting is essential. Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse client population.
Preferred Experience: Experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team environment. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth technology.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, based on experience and caseload availability.
