CDL A Refrigerated Truck Driver

Hirschbach Motor Lines seeks a professional Company CDL A Truck Driver to haul temperature-controlled freight for major food and consumer brands. Based from Dubuque, Iowa, you’ll operate late-model, fuel-efficient tractors and refrigerated trailers, delivering safely and on time across regional and nationwide routes. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, reefer temperature monitoring, accurate logs and paperwork, and strict DOT/FMCSA compliance. Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer hauling refrigerated freight Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs Maintain on-time pickup and delivery across regional/national routes Monitor and manage reefer temperature and load integrity Comply with FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations Communicate with dispatch and customers professionally Secure loads and verify bills of lading and paperwork Use onboard technology and ELD systems effectively Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance Represent the company with courteous, professional conduct CDL A truck driving Refrigerated trailer operation FMCSA/DOT compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Load securement Trip planning and time management Temperature-controlled freight handling Defensive driving Basic paperwork and billing documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical) TWIC card preferred depending on routes HazMat endorsement preferred but not required Doubles/Triples endorsement a plus
