Quality Inspector - Dimensional / CMM

Schedule: 4/40, 2nd shift & weekend shift, 3:15pm - 1:45 am

Duration: 03 months contract to hire

The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, supporting Combat Mission Systems, is seeking a Quality Auditor (Dimensional Inspector) for its Weekend Shift. In this role as a QA, you will work with a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) to inspect machined and/or welded parts to blueprint requirements for shipment to customer base. You'll also provide auditing support to shop floor operations.

Skills Required: Must have experience with and/or knowledge of basic inspection tools including scales, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc. Able to read, comprehend, and work to blueprints. Able to support Second and Weekend Shift. Typically requires high school diploma or the equivalent, and one year of related working experience.

Skills Preferred: Coordinate measurement machine (CMM) experience. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge and experience. Weld inspection knowledge/experience. Faro Arm/Laser Tracker or Keyence experience. Education Required Typically requires high school diploma or the equivalent, and one year of related working experience.
