A high-growth global space-data platform just engineered a massive AI-driven weather forecasting engine delivering high-frequency global updates. They need an engineering-first SDET to take full ownership of the staging-to-production quality gate for their flagship visual intelligence platform serving commercial aviation, utilities, and logistics. This isn't a traditional click-testing role. You'll use frontier agentic AI workflows daily to build synthetic data generators, automate complex spatial UI validation, and ship production bug fixes directly. Total Gatekeeper Autonomy: Own the CI/CD quality gates and make the final call on when staging releases are ready for production deployment. Production Code Contribution: Don't just file tickets—contribute production code, bug fixes, and features directly to the frontend and platform repos. High-Resolution Spatial Scale: Validate complex, live-updating geospatial models and visual telemetry with zero corporate bureaucracy. The Tech & Work: Write and maintain automated end-to-end tests across complex spatial frontend workflows and backend REST APIsValidate high-frequency asynchronous data updates (forecast uncertainty, data freshness, and live alert severity) Inspect visual model outputs on interactive dashboards to catch rendering anomalies and data artifacts before release Build custom test tooling and synthetic data generators to simulate reproducible edge-case scenarios Own CI/CD pipeline quality gates and ship direct production fixes across frontend and platform codebases Hard Filters: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder Proven software engineering background with production coding experience alongside E2E automation (UI, API, and CI/CD) Demonstrated daily fluency with frontier AI models and agentic coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to ship and validate code rapidly Hands-on experience testing complex frontend state, asynchronous real-time data streams, and system failure modes Based in (or willing to relocate to) the Denver/Boulder, CO area for a hybrid schedule (3+ days/week onsite)
