Job Description: CD Staffing is a locally owned and operated staffing firm based in Orlando, Florida with locations throughout Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We currently have an opening with a large, well-known company in Orlando Area looking for a Quality Inspector The Pay Rate DOE $20-23 an hour – Training will be completed on first shift 8am to 3:30pm, and will transition to a split shift, then to 2nd shift.
POSITION SUMMARY: Inspect and verify manufactured parts and tool conform to engineering drawings, blueprints, job cards, customer requirements, and established quality standards. Provides inspection support throughout the production process, assists with quality documentation and problem solving and promote consistent application of quality requirements across operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following functions are considered essential to this position: 1. Inspect manufactured parts and tooling throughout the production process using precision measurement equipment and approved inspection methods to verify conformance to engineering drawings, blueprints, job cards, specifications, and customer requirements. 2. Identify critical-to-quality and key inspection characteristics from engineering drawings, blueprints, job cards, control plans, and other quality documentation, and communicate applicable requirements to production and quality personnel. 3. Provide insight and guidance to production personnel regarding blueprint interpretation, measurement methods, quality requirements, and routine quality concerns; answer questions and communicate applicable inspection requirements. 4. Complete required inspection records, quality documentation, and reports accurately and timely, including assisting the Quality Manager with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation when required. 5. Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions; assist with containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and 8D problem-solving activities as assigned. 6. Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and other inspections as required by the control plan, job documentation, customer requirements, or management. 7. Operate CMM and Keyence and optical measurement systems using established inspection programs and learn to develop and modify inspection programs as required. Maintain inspection of equipment and programs in accordance with established requirements. 8. Follow the company's ISO quality system, procedures, and requirements and support continual improvement initiatives. 9. Monitor production processes for quality concerns and promptly communicate defects, trends, or other conditions that may affect product conformity to the appropriate supervisor or quality leadership. 10. Verify measurement equipment is properly identified and within the required calibration interval before use and maintain accurate and traceable inspection results. 11. Execute special inspection instructions and quality requirements identified on job cards, control plans, inspection forms, customer documentation, or as communicated by management. 12. Actively support a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, using required PPE, and complying with all company policies and guidelines. 13. Perform other duties assigned to support efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2.
Experience: •Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metal stamping environment preferred. • Experience with precision measurement equipment required. 3.
Knowledge & Skills: • Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, job cards, and quality documentation. • Proficient in the use of precision hand measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, surface plates, and other inspection equipment. • Basic shop math and strong attention to detail. • Ability to identify, document, and communicate quality issues and requirements to production and quality personnel. • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established quality requirements. • Ability to read and communicate in English as required for interpreting job cards, engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality documentation. 4.
