Role Description: The Architectural Designer will support projects from early concept through detailed design and construction documentation in a full-time remote role. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing drawings and models, and assisting in the coordination of architectural details with consultants and project stakeholders. The role involves producing clear construction drawings, refining layouts and elevations, and ensuring design solutions align with project requirements, building codes, and best practices. The Architectural Designer will participate in internal reviews, respond to feedback, and help maintain project documentation standards, while collaborating virtually with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Qualifications: Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into coherent spatial solutions. Proficiency in Construction Drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details suitable for permitting and construction. Skilled in Drawing (manual or digital) and visual representation to communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Understanding of Urban Planning principles and the relationship between buildings, sites, and surrounding communities. Experience with industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).Knowledge of building codes, standards, and basic construction methods. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a remote environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a distributed team. Interest in sustainable design and best practices in energy-efficient, resilient architecture is beneficial.
