Providing comprehensive counseling services to students, the part-time Maine Licensed School Counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, collaborate with educators and parents, and support students' academic and career development in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, personal, and social development needs Conduct assessments and develop interventions to support students' strengths and needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive school environment
Required qualifications: Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program Current state licensure or certification as a School Counselor or eligibility for licensure Previous experience as a School Counselor in an educational setting (preferred) Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues Proficiency in assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques
