Job Description:
SMYL Staten Island By Dr M Yaghi Dental PLLCStaten Island, NYSmile Staten Island is seeking a motivated, skilled, and patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our growing dental practice in Staten Island. We are looking for a dentist who is confident practicing independently, provides high-quality patient care, and is interested in building long-term relationships with patients. Our office provides comprehensive dental treatment in a modern, supportive environment.
Responsibilities: The Associate Dentist will be responsible for:
- Comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning
- Restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, and bridges
- Simple and surgical extractions
- Root canal therapy
- Removable prosthodontics, including partial and complete dentures
- Emergency dental treatment
- Diagnosis and management of common dental conditions
- Reviewing and interpreting digital X-rays and CBCT imaging when appropriate
- Clearly presenting treatment options to patients
- Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation
- Working collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, front-desk staff, and other providers
- Maintaining high standards of infection control, professionalism, and patient safety
Experience with implant dentistry, surgical procedures, Invisalign/clear aligners, cosmetic dentistry, or other advanced procedures is a plus but is not required.
Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Current and unrestricted New York State Dental License
- Current DEA registration, when applicable
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Professional liability/malpractice coverage
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered dentistry
- New graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply; experienced dentists are also encouraged
