Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Hayward, California Exciting opportunity for a Registered Behavior Technician to make a lasting impact in an educational setting! This contract position supports a 1st-grade male student requiring 1:1 dedicated assistance due to moderate to severe behavioral needs. Located within easy reach of San Bruno, San Mateo, and South San Francisco, the role offers full-time hours Monday through Friday, with a predictable schedule through early June.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Active RBT Certification required
  • Prior experience managing moderate to severe physical behaviors in young children
  • Confidence in supporting elopement and toileting needs with compassion and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain safety, consistency, and patience in challenging situations
  • Thorough understanding of behavior intervention strategies
  • Willingness to participate in fingerprinting and school onboarding processes
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work exclusively with the assigned 1st-grade student during school hoursno multiple school assignments
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the direction of district staff
  • Proactively anticipate and de-escalate challenging behaviors including elopement and physical outbursts
  • Document daily progress and interventions consistently
  • Support the student in all school-related activities, including transitions and self-care/toileting
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with educators, school staff, and family members
  • Contract Details:
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Assignment runs ASAP through June 4thInterview quickly via Zoom with decisions made promptly
  • District onboarding includes required fingerprinting (no on-site training provided)
