Vascular Surgery NPs & PAs an ongoing opportunity is open in Syracuse, NY! We re looking for an experienced NP or PA with RNFA experience to join a busy, high-acuity vascular surgery service while the team searches for a permanent provider. Syracuse, NY ASAP Ongoing Approximately 6 Months 40 Hours/Week 100% Inpatient Vascular Surgery Epic EMR Adult & Geriatric Patients Nights & Weekends Required Rotated Among the Team Schedule Flexible shifts based on staffing needs: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 9:00 AM 9:00 PM 7:00 PM 7:00 AM A mix of 10- and 12-hour shifts is required. Weekend and night shifts are scheduled hours and rotated among the APP team.
What You'll Do:
  • Inpatient medical management and daily rounding
  • Pre- and post-operative vascular surgery care
  • First assist in the OR for approximately 5 vascular surgeons
  • Assist with open vascular procedures
  • Manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and acute illness
  • Perform bedside procedures including suturing, wound care, wound vacs & PermCath removal
  • Round on approximately 3 5 patients/day individually
  • Support an average census of vascular patients
  • Case Experience: ️ Peripheral bypass
  • ️ Carotid surgery
  • ️ AV fistula creation
  • ️ Open abdominal aortic surgery
  • ️ High-acuity vascular surgical cases
Requirements:
  • NP or PA with RNFA
  • NCCPA or ANCC/AANP certification
  • Active New York license at submission
  • BLS & ACLS
  • 2 3 years of vascular surgery experience
  • Cardiac surgery experience with vascular cross-coverage may also be considered
  • Comfortable with both inpatient management and first assisting
  • Must be flexible for nights and weekends
  • Credentialing: Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges available
