We’re a remote-first team trusted by category leaders like AWS, Class Pass, AG1, and Skyscanner. At Intrepid, you’ll do the best work of your career with people who care about craft, impact, and each other.
About the Role:
We’re hiring an SEO Manager (Client Lead) to lead client strategy, communication, and performance across a portfolio of enterprise accounts. You’ll serve as a trusted day-to-day strategic partner, developing a deep understanding of each client’s business and goals, translating SEO opportunities into clear priorities, and ensuring clients understand the strategy, progress, results, and next steps. You’ll coordinate cross-functional workstreams to keep initiatives on time, within budget, and focused on measurable impact.
Responsibilities:
Lead accounts end-to-end: Own strategy, delivery, and outcomes; be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Project manage like a pro: Build roadmaps, manage dependencies, run stand-ups, clear blockers, and keep stakeholders aligned. Create genuine rapport: Build strong relationships with client partners—from SEO managers to executives—through clear communication and reliable delivery. Turn goals into roadmaps: Translate business objectives into prioritized backlogs across technical, on-page, content, and authority work. Measure what matters: Define success metrics, set up clean analytics, and report insights that drive decisions (not just dashboards).Coach and coordinate: Guide analysts/specialists; collaborate with content, dev, analytics, and outreach partners to ship quality work. Stay ahead of the curve: Navigate the AI-era search landscape (AI Overviews, SERP volatility, multi-modal signals) with testing and learning.
Qualifications:
You have proven experience in leading SEO strategy and execution, with a strong grasp of technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and authority-building best practices.
Required Skills:
You are an exceptional communicator who can explain complex SEO and GEO concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You proactively communicate progress, results, risks, recommendations, and next steps, ensuring clients always understand what is being done, why it matters, and how it supports their business goals. You understand the SEO industry landscape, including search engine algorithms, competitors, and emerging trends. You understand how search is evolving beyond traditional search engines. You have strong knowledge of AI search and GEO, including how LLMs discover, interpret, and cite content, and can translate these developments into practical strategies that improve brand visibility, citations, and discoverability. You are skilled at using SEO, analytics, and AI visibility platforms, such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, crawling tools, and LLM-monitoring platforms, to uncover insights, measure performance, identify opportunities, and guide strategic decisions. You understand that measurement must extend beyond rankings and organic traffic. You can evaluate traditional search performance alongside AI visibility, prompt coverage, citations, referral traffic, branded demand, and other indicators of discoverability and authority. You are an excellent project manager who can turn strategy into execution. You create detailed briefs, roadmaps, recommendations, and implementation plans; coordinate effectively with content, development, analytics, design, and other teams; and consistently move work forward on time. You use AI thoughtfully to improve research, analysis, reporting, and workflow efficiency while applying strong judgment, quality control, and subject-matter expertise to every deliverable. You are proactive, organized, curious, and accountable. You take ownership of your programs, identify the right next steps, and continuously refine the strategy based on performance, business priorities, and changes across the search landscape. You are confident working independently and know how to move work forward with minimal guidance. You also value collaboration and know when to involve the team to brainstorm, pressure-test ideas, or ask for support.
Preferred Skills:
Remote-first & async-friendly: We optimize for deep work and clear written communication. Outcome-driven: We deliver meaningful results, use time wisely, and clearly show the impact of our work. High trust, high standards: We support each other and hold ourselves to a high standard of quality.
