Vice President – Wealth Strategy & Transformation We're working with a leading global investment firm seeking an experienced Vice President to help shape, transform and accelerate the growth of its Wealth Management business. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity combining business strategy, enterprise transformation, operating model development and end-to-end programme delivery. Working directly with senior Wealth leadership, you'll play a central role in defining the future direction of the business, identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering strategic initiatives that support long-term growth. A key responsibility will be developing and executing a three-year transformation roadmap, bringing together business strategy, operational improvement, digital transformation and organisational change. This isn't a traditional programme management position focused purely on delivery. We're looking for someone who can understand the bigger picture, challenge existing ways of working, develop strategic solutions and take full ownership of turning those ideas into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Wealth Strategy & Business Transformation:
  • Partner directly with senior Wealth leadership to define strategic priorities and transformation objectives.
  • Develop and deliver a three-year roadmap supporting the continued growth and evolution of the Wealth Management business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance, operational efficiency and client experience.
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical initiatives, business cases and execution plans.
  • Assess existing operating models and develop future-state solutions that support scalability and growth.
  • Drive transformation across organisational structures, business processes and technology-enabled operations. Enterprise Programme Leadership
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Lead multiple strategic programmes simultaneously, from initial concept and business case development through to implementation.
  • Establish clear priorities, delivery plans, milestones, resources and governance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, operations, technology and other key functions.
  • Manage programme risks, dependencies and competing business priorities.
  • Ensure initiatives deliver measurable outcomes aligned with the organisation's long-term objectives.
Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve existing business processes. Lead the assessment of internal and client-facing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for transformation. Support the adoption of digital ways of working across the Wealth business. Develop business cases for process redesign, automation and technology-enabled improvements. Ensure transformation initiatives are supported by effective controls, governance and sustainable operating models. Use data and performance metrics to evaluate opportunities, prioritise initiatives and measure results.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior executives and business leaders across the organisation. Influence stakeholders, challenge existing approaches and drive consensus around strategic priorities. Develop and implement structured change management approaches to support successful transformation. Ensure new processes, operating models and ways of working are effectively embedded within the business. Establish post-implementation reviews to measure adoption, performance and realised benefits. Communicate programme progress, strategic recommendations and business outcomes to senior leadership.
Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership and direction to project delivery and change management professionals. Coach and develop team members, supporting high performance and continuous improvement. Promote accountability, collaboration and effective execution across cross-functional teams. Create an environment where teams are encouraged to challenge existing processes and develop innovative solutions.
Experience & Requirements: We're interested in speaking with professionals who bring:10–15 years' experience within financial services, wealth management, investment management or management consulting. A strong track record of leading complex business transformation and strategic change initiatives. Experience developing and executing enterprise-wide transformation programmes. The ability to manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives simultaneously. Strong business strategy, operating model design and process improvement experience. Proven experience working directly with senior executives and influencing business decisions. Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps and implementation plans. A solid understanding of business processes, digital transformation and technology-enabled change. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions. Experience leading cross-functional teams and developing project delivery professionals. Wealth Management experience would be particularly attractive, although we're equally interested in professionals with relevant experience across financial services, investment management or consulting. Previous experience within a large, complex financial services organisation would be advantageous. PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ADKAR or equivalent qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
The Ideal Candidate: We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with genuine execution capability. You'll be comfortable sitting with senior leadership, understanding the commercial objectives of the business and identifying opportunities to drive meaningful transformation. However, you won't stop at developing the strategy. You'll know how to build the roadmap, secure stakeholder support, bring together the right teams and lead initiatives through to successful implementation. You'll be confident operating in a complex, evolving environment where priorities can change and solutions aren't always immediately obvious. Strong communication, commercial awareness, problem-solving ability and the confidence to challenge existing ways of working will be essential. Above all, you'll be someone who can develop the strategy, lead the transformation and deliver the results. Why Consider This Opportunity? Join a well-established global investment firm with a growing Wealth Management business. Play a central role in shaping the future strategy and operating model of the Wealth business. Develop and deliver a significant three-year transformation roadmap. Work directly with senior executives and key decision-makers. Take ownership of high-impact strategic initiatives with genuine business visibility. Lead complex transformation programmes spanning business strategy, operations, processes and technology. Work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values initiative and innovative thinking. Benefit from long-term career development and progression opportunities.
