Medical Records Clerk

Job location: New York, NY 10029

Shift: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $18 - $22/hr Length:2 Months, possible extension

Education: Two years of experience High School Diploma/ GED; Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Required Qualifications: 1+ year of experience working directly with paper medical records Demonstrated ability to recognize and correctly classify medical record document types Typing speed of 40 WPM or better with high accuracy Working proficiency in Excel, including entering data, sorting, and filtering Proven accuracy in data entry and comfort with repetitive detail work Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Prior HIM or document imaging experience in a hospital setting Familiarity with Epic Knowledge of medical terminology Pride-Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
