Apply for this role →Meter Reader Our client is seeking a Meter Reader to read and record water meter readings on an assigned route, while also performing basic maintenance and repair tasks on water meters and lines.$16.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Read water meters on an assigned route and record readings Report meter skips or meters unable to be read Visually inspect meters for proper function and report defective units Repair leaks and broken water lines Explain and interpret unusual readings to customers Turn water meters on and off; install or assist with meter and meter box installation Perform other related work as directed
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of city street geography/locations Knowledge of plumbing and water installation/repair Ability to write legibly Ability to make routine mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
