This privately held and self-funded firm founded in 2015,, is seeking a Business Development Representative to expand our market reach through strategic sales outreach initiatives targeting partner sales, niche markets, government entities, and large dispute resolution firms. This is a FAST TRACK role to an Account Executive position. About the role:
Individual contributor role, working from your home office$70k+ base, with a generous variable. KPIs are 3-5 meetings set per week. You must have 1+ year of experience as an SDR/BDR. Candidates with Legal Tech experience move to the top of the list. You are able to maintain a positive attitude when faced with adversity. Time management skills, and the ability to work well with a team are paramount. Experience with a robust tech stack is mandatory (Hub Spot, Outreach, Zoom, Salesforce, etc.)

The Firm, a strong, established brand in case and practice management software for dispute resolution practitioners, is seeking an ambitious BDR, who wants to move quickly to an Account Executive role. Our innovative software solution is designed to streamline the workflow of professionals in the dispute resolution field, including mediators, arbitrators, and legal practitioners, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness. We are looking for BDR to join our team, who will play a crucial role in expanding our market reach through strategic sales outreach initiatives targeting partner sales, niche markets, government entities, and large dispute resolution firms.
Responsibilities:
Research and Identify Opportunities Research and identify prospective clients within the dispute resolution ecosystem, including mediation and arbitration firms, law firms, courts, government agencies, higher education institutions, and corporate HR departments. Leverage CRM data, industry research, Linked In, and outbound prospecting tools to uncover new opportunities and build qualified target account lists. Outbound Prospecting and Pipeline Generation Generate new business opportunities through a combination of email campaigns, phone outreach, Linked In engagement, networking, and event follow-up. Consistently engage decision-makers and influencers to create qualified meetings and sales opportunities for the Account Executive team. Lead Qualification and Discovery Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, pain points, current processes, and organizational goals. Qualify opportunities based on established criteria and effectively communicate value propositions that align with the prospect's business challenges. Event Support and Lead Follow-UpCollaborate with leadership to support industry conferences, trade shows, webinars, and association events. Assist with pre-event outreach, lead capture, post-event follow-up, and nurturing activities to maximize pipeline generation and return on investment. Partner and Channel Development Help identify and engage potential referral and partnership opportunities, including mediation trainers, universities, professional associations, and other organizations serving the dispute resolution community. Support relationship-building efforts that expand The Firm's market presence. CRM Management and Activity Tracking Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospecting activities, conversations, and pipeline updates within the CRM system. Ensure data integrity and provide regular activity and pipeline reporting. Sales and Marketing Alignment Work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to execute campaigns, follow up on inbound leads, provide market feedback, and improve messaging based on prospect interactions. Meeting and Opportunity Creation Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly goals for meetings booked, qualified opportunities generated, and pipeline contribution. Demonstrate persistence and professionalism when pursuing opportunities within large organizations and government entities. Other Duties as Assigned by Senior Management Remain flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities that support company growth and customer acquisition initiatives.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in business development, inside sales, customer-facing roles, or related experience preferred. SaaS, Legal Tech, professional services, or technology sales experience is a plus. Strong prospecting, research, and organizational skills. Comfortable making outbound calls, sending emails, and engaging prospects through Linked In and other channels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build rapport and establish credibility with professionals at all levels. Self-motivated, coachable, and driven to achieve and exceed goals. Experience using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point, Word, and Excel. Ability to thrive in a remote work environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and accountability. Interest in Legal Tech, dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration, or related industries is a plus. Position Details

Compensation:
A competitive compensation package is offered, including a base pay and bonus structure, company 401K with a 3% safe harbor match, and company subsidized medical and dental benefits along with unlimited PTO. For higher-performing sales leadership, equity participation may be offered. Specific details will be determined based on the candidate's experience and the nature of the employment relationship.
