Working Kitchen Manager

Responsibilities: Oversee daily kitchen operations while actively working the line alongside staffManage food prep, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentationHire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staffMonitor food inventory, place orders, and manage food costs and wasteEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code standardsCollaborate with ownership to develop and update menu itemsMaintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed Requirements: 2+ years of kitchen management or lead cook experience in a cafe, restaurant, or food service settingStrong hands-on cooking skills with the ability to work all kitchen stationsProven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a kitchen teamKnowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost controlAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills About Us: The Spot Cafe LLC is a beloved local dining destination in the heart of Saint Augustine, FL, known for serving up delicious food with genuine hospitality.
