Surgical Technologist/Technician - Bethesda, MD

Duration: 13-week contractShift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 3:00 PM-11:30 PM; Intermittent on-call (evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed) How many shifts needed per month: Intermittent on-call 14-17 times a month, in addition to regular scheduled shiftsCredentialing/Onboarding time: 6-8 weeksLicense: Any state license works (Certified Surgical Technologist)

Certifications: Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology programExperience needed: 2-3 years of current acute care hospital Operating Room experienceSpecial Skills needed: Proficiency in both scrub and circulating roles in the OR

Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures; pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations; assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping; maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout procedures.
