Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain multi-cavity injection molds with hot runner systems.
- Analyze mold conditions, fabricate/repair parts using machine tools.
- Fit components to tight tolerances, read blueprints, oversee apprentices.
- Log repairs, ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Minor welding/fabrication
- Oversee Apprentices
Qualifications:
High school diploma; 4-year apprenticeship + 4 years experience in tool/mold repair.
Hot runners;.0005" tolerances; machine tools; 10-15 yrs typical.
Knowledge of trigonometry, machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders).Ability to lift 50-100 lbs; mandatory overtime.
