Software Engineer | $200k+

Responsibilities: Design and develop high-performance backend infrastructure using Rust to support real-time trading operations. Build and maintain risk management and liquidation engines that protect trading operations and improve capital efficiency. Engineer blockchain state machines supporting trading execution, settlement, and risk management. Develop distributed services that maintain consistent state across asynchronous processes using consensus and coordination mechanisms. Build systems that process live market data and coordinate time-sensitive activities across multiple trading venues. Design and optimize REST and WebSocket APIs to deliver millisecond-level response times for trading applications. Develop concurrent, asynchronous services using Rust and Tokio, emphasizing throughput, reliability, and performance. Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize backend architecture, and contribute directly to the evolution of trading infrastructure.

Qualifications: Production experience developing backend applications in Rust, with strong systems-level programming expertise. Demonstrated experience building real-time, high-throughput backend services, including asynchronous programming, concurrency, and performance optimization. Genuine interest in trading and financial markets, demonstrated through professional experience, technical projects, or independent market involvement. Experience in startup environments or similarly hands-on engineering teams, ideally working on performance-sensitive applications. Familiarity with distributed systems, REST and WebSocket APIs, and relational, time-series, or key-value databases. Independent engineering projects, particularly in Rust or C, with GitHub contributions or other demonstrable examples of technical proficiency.
