Key Responsibilities: Finance Process Assessment & Optimization: Evaluate the current-state finance organization, workflows, controls, and technology across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Treasury, Record-to-Report/Close, and Financial & Management Reporting. Identify process gaps, manual workarounds, control weaknesses, and opportunities for standardization and automation. Finance Systems & Technology Strategy: Assess the existing finance technology stack and recommend systems, tools, and integrations that improve scalability, data integrity, reporting, and operational efficiency. Help define future-state requirements and develop a practical technology roadmap. Systems Selection & Implementation: Lead or support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new finance and accounting systems, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, system configuration, data migration, testing/UAT, and go-live readiness. Legacy System Transformation: Help transition the organization from Quick Books and highly manual processes toward a more sophisticated, integrated finance environment capable of supporting increased transaction volume, reporting requirements, and organizational complexity. Project & Change Management: Develop and manage transformation workplans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Coordinate across finance, accounting, operations, IT, and other business functions to keep initiatives on schedule. Training & Adoption: Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials while helping finance and operational teams successfully adopt new systems and processes. Executive Communication: Present assessments, recommendations, implementation plans, project status, risks, and key decisions to CFO and executive leadership, translating complex finance and technology issues into clear business recommendations. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external software vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and other third parties throughout the transformation. Continuous Improvement: Establish processes and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of transformation initiatives and identify additional opportunities for automation, efficiency, scalability, and improved financial visibility.
Requirements: 7-10+ years of experience across finance transformation, accounting/finance operations, process improvement, systems implementation, and/or technology enablement. Demonstrated experience leading transformation initiatives across multiple finance processes, including P2P, O2C, Treasury, Record-to-Report/Close, and Financial Reporting. Strong track record of assessing current-state finance environments and designing practical future-state operating models, workflows, and technology solutions. Experience helping organizations transition from Quick Books, spreadsheets, and manual processes to scalable ERP, accounting, reporting, and automation platforms. Hands-on experience with ERP/system selection and implementation, including requirements gathering, process mapping, data migration, UAT/testing, training, and change management. Strong understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, financial reporting, and the interaction between finance systems and operational workflows. Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects involving Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners. Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, risks, and implementation priorities. Highly organized and capable of balancing strategic transformation planning with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment. Experience working within professional services or other service-based organizations strongly preferred. Experience supporting a rapidly growing or evolving organization and building finance infrastructure capable of scaling with the business is preferred.
