Muter Construction is seeking an experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to support the successful delivery of complex healthcare projects, including renovations within occupied acute care facilities. This role plays a critical part in bridging preconstruction planning and on-site execution, working closely with owners, architects, subcontractors and end-users to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
Assist with projects from preconstruction and manage throughout construction phase Perform constructability reviews as needed Perform project risk assessments Assist with key submittals as needed Assist with writing RFIsAssist with scheduling of subcontractors and inspections Assist with schedule updates Adhere to project schedules to ensure on time completion Complete daily logs and other required field reports with emphasis on details and completeness Manage all aspects of on-site healthcare construction with an emphasis on renovations including occupied acute care facilities Hold all required on-site meetings for productivity and safety standard Emphasis on high quality deliverables including client experience Adherence to OSHA safety standards Ability to travel Ability to work some nights and weekends
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of related experience in acute healthcare constructionICRA (preferred)Certified Healthcare Constructor (preferred)OSHA-30 Valid NC Drivers License
Education: High school degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office or related software Procore (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems in a healthcare setting Thorough knowledge of drawings and specifications for project Thorough knowledge of subcontract and material vendor scopes for project Demonstrated understanding building structural elements as well as finishes Demonstrated understanding of phases of construction projects Ability to perform work in a timely, efficient and professional manner Ability to work within Muter Construction policies and adhere to safety policies set forth by company standards, local and federal regulations
