Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland

Overview: Performs Nuclear Medicine exams and delivers completed exams to Radiologist for interpretation. Complies with state and federal regulations concerning Radioactive Materials. Minimum QualificationsEducation: An individual who has completed a program in nuclear medicine.

Experience: Previous Nuclear Medicine technologist experience preferred. New graduates will be considered.

Knowledge and Skills: Communicate well with patients and other departments. Knowledge of current State and Federal regulations for Radioactive Materials.

License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certification from the ARRT and/or NMTCB, CRT (Nuclear), and a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.

Equipment: Basic knowledge of equipment used in Nuclear Medicine such as a Gamma Camera, Dose Calibrator, Survey Meter and other equipment as used in the department. RIS, HIS, and PACS.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
