About the Position:
We are seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive HR Coordinator to support the daily operation of VENU’s Human Resources function. This position will support HR administration, employee records, onboarding, Paycom updates, payroll and benefits processes, recruiting coordination, and routine employee and manager needs. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. This position reports to the individual responsible for leading VENU’s daily HR operations and will help keep HR processes moving while recognizing and escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately. What You Are Accountable For Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including new hire paperwork, background checks, I-9 and E-Verify processing, and employee documentation. Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation. Process approved employee changes in Paycom and track personnel action forms and outstanding manager actions. Support payroll preparation by reviewing routine timekeeping items, following up on missing information, and maintaining payroll documentation. Support PTO and sick time administration and respond to routine employee questions regarding timekeeping and payroll. Support benefits and 401(k) administration, including eligibility tracking, enrollment assistance, employee questions, and documentation. Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR questions and route sensitive employee relations, compliance, or policy matters to the HR leader. Support recruiting through job posting administration, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and background check coordination. Coordinate HR and manager training logistics, reminders, attendance, and completion tracking. Maintain HR calendars, trackers, recurring compliance deadlines, and reporting data. Prepare routine HR reports and help maintain accurate workforce data. Support employment verifications, HR forms, employee acknowledgments, and general HR administration. Follow established HR processes and maintain the confidentiality of employee information. Support HR compliance by maintaining required records, tracking deadlines, and following established company policies and HR procedures. Audit and maintain employee data within Paycom to support accurate and timely processing of employee transactions. Provide administrative support for leave and accommodation requests, including tracking deadlines and maintaining documentation, while escalating eligibility and approval decisions to the HR leader. Monitor hiring requirements and new hire readiness to ensure required activities are completed before employees’ start dates. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required. Two or more years of HR, payroll, benefits, HRIS, or related administrative experience preferred. Relevant HR experience may be considered in place of formal education. Experience with Paycom or another HRIS or payroll system preferred. Experience supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, I-9 and E-Verify processes, or employee records strongly preferred. Hospitality, restaurant, or experience supporting multiple locations is a plus. SHRM-CP, PHR, or another HR certification is a plus, but not required.
