About Versa Marketing Versa Marketing Inc. is a leading affiliate, influencer, and performance PR marketing agency based in Denver, CO.We help brands build and grow performance-based partnership programs across traditional affiliate networks, creators and influencers, editorial publishers, Amazon affiliate ecosystems, and paid media partners. The Affiliate Marketing Manager Role We are seeking an experienced affiliate marketing professional to lead the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of client programs. This role is designed for someone who understands affiliate marketing beyond basic program execution and can serve as a strategic advisor to clients. The Affiliate Marketing Manager will own client relationships, develop channel strategy, identify growth opportunities, analyze program performance, recruit and develop high-value partners, and help clients navigate the affiliate and commerce landscape. The position will report to the Agency Account Director. The Affiliate Marketing Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and will be responsible for ensuring programs are strategically positioned for growth while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Program Strategy & Growth – Understand client business objectives, revenue goals, customer acquisition priorities, margins, and channel strategy to develop affiliate programs that drive measurable growth. Client Leadership – Serve as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact for clients. Lead client calls, communicate recommendations clearly, manage expectations, and proactively identify new opportunities. Affiliate Recruitment & Development – Identify, recruit, activate, and grow relationships with high-value publishers including editorial sites, content creators, influencers, loyalty and cashback partners, sub-affiliate networks, deal partners, paid media affiliates, and other commerce partners. Amazon Affiliate Strategy – Manage and advise on Amazon-focused affiliate initiatives, including Amazon Creator Connections, Amazon Attribution, affiliate platforms supporting Amazon programs, creator recruitment, product activation, campaign strategy, sampling, and commission structures. Partner Economics & Commission Strategy – Develop commission and incentive structures based on partner type, traffic quality, customer value, incrementality, promotional opportunity, and expected return. Performance PR & Editorial Outreach – Identify relevant publications, journalists, editors, and commerce writers. Develop outreach strategies designed to secure high-quality editorial and product coverage. Paid Media Partnerships – Identify and evaluate affiliates using paid social, paid search, native advertising, and other media-buying models. Assess partner economics, compliance, scalability, and traffic quality. Program Analysis & Optimization – Analyze program performance to identify growth opportunities, attribution gaps, partner concentration, commission inefficiencies, underperforming segments, and areas for optimization. Incrementality & Partner Quality – Evaluate performance beyond attributed revenue alone by considering traffic generation, click behavior, customer acquisition, partner type, conversion behavior, content value, and incremental contribution. Reporting & Insights – Develop and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting. Translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and next steps. Program Audits – Conduct strategic reviews of tracking, partner mix, commission structures, promotional activity, product feeds, campaign setup, recruitment opportunities, compliance, attribution, and competitive positioning. Account Maintenance & Program Operations – Oversee program health including applications, partner communications, creative assets, promotional updates, newsletters, campaign launches, tracking reviews, and other operational needs. Compliance & Brand Protection – Identify and address issues such as unauthorized trademark bidding, coupon leakage, inaccurate promotions, outdated codes, sub-affiliate transparency, and other program compliance concerns. Creative & Promotional Strategy – Work with clients and internal teams to develop promotional calendars, affiliate messaging, campaign assets, product priorities, and partner-facing materials. Cross-Channel Collaboration – Work with client ecommerce, Amazon, influencer, PR, merchandising, paid media, and internal marketing teams to ensure affiliate strategy supports broader business objectives. Emerging Commerce & AI Discovery – Stay current on changes in ecommerce, creator commerce, affiliate attribution, retail media, and AI-driven product discovery. This role requires a broad understanding of affiliate marketing, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to move comfortably between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. Minimum Qualifications:
Required Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or a related field 2+ years of affiliate, partnership, performance marketing, or related digital marketing experience. Demonstrated experience directly managing affiliate programs and client or brand relationships. Strong understanding of affiliate tracking networks and technology platforms such as Impact, Awin, Avant Link, CJ, Rakuten Advertising, Partnerize, ShareASale, or similar platforms. Understanding of affiliate tracking methodologies including cookies, server-to-server tracking, attribution models, promo code tracking, and ecommerce conversion tracking. Experience developing affiliate recruitment and partner growth strategies. Strong understanding of online publisher monetization models Experience analyzing affiliate performance and translating performance data into actionable recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience presenting strategy and performance results directly to clients or senior internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, deadlines, and priorities independently.
Additional Qualifications:
Desired Agency or marketing consulting experience. Experience managing both DTC and Amazon affiliate programs. Experience with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and product sampling programs. PR, editorial publishing, or commerce content experience. Partnership development and contract negotiation experience. Paid media affiliate, PPC, or media-buying experience. Experience developing differentiated commission structures and partner incentive strategies. Experience with affiliate program audits, incrementality analysis, or attribution analysis. Familiarity with AI-powered search, generative AI platforms, LLM-driven product discovery, and emerging conversational commerce models. Why Versa? Salary range:
