Apply for this role →The Specialty Leasing Representative will report to the Vice President, Specialty Leasing. The main function of this role will be to expand the non-recurring revenues in the region including the sourcing of common area events and short term in line leasing activity. Travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all specialty leasing activities including market analysis, sourcing new tenants, negotiating lease parameters, lease analysis and closing lease transactions
- Negotiate and complete lease renewals
- Develop networks; establish tenant, broker and owner relationships.
- Thoroughly understand demographics, traffic patterns and market trends
- Be knowledgeable of the specialty leasing activity within the competing shopping centers
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Sales experience in real estate or related field a plus.
- Requires ability to focus on many tasks and requests at once.
- Self-starter. Able to work with minimal direction in a high pressure environment. Ability to understand a situation and creatively, logically strategize alternatives and determine a course of action.
- Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and good time management skills are all required competencies.
- Strong mathematical skills required to perform financial calculations
- Reliable, on-time attendance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Overnight travel required
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree 3+ years in specialty leasing, perm leasing either mall or open-air centers.
- Proven Track record
- Experience in canvassing and cold calling
- Ability to work independently
- Superior communication skills
