Chief Financial Officer

Role Description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategy for Engineered Cooling Services. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. This role includes monitoring key financial metrics, advising senior leadership on business performance, and supporting strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis. The CFO will establish and maintain internal controls, oversee compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners. The position also involves mentoring finance team members, optimizing financial systems and processes, and contributing to long-term growth and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications: Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy. Expertise in financial statements and financial reporting, with a track record of producing accurate, timely, and compliant reports. Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making. Demonstrated leadership in managing finance teams and collaborating with executive stakeholders. Proficiency with modern financial systems, ERP platforms, and spreadsheet tools. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance practices. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is preferred. Experience in services, HVAC, energy, or related industries is beneficial, as is experience in multi-location or regional operations. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
