Licensed Veterinary Technician - Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology Technician Opportunity at BluePearl Pet Hospital BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brooklyn, NY is hiring for a detail-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician to come work alongside our new board-certified Ophthalmologist.

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

For patients undergoing sedation or anesthesia, place IV catheters and fluids, administer drugs through various route, perform and monitor sedation/anesthesia (with advanced skills including constant rate infusions, paralytics, ventilation, etc.)Help organize and maintain specialized ophthalmic equipment and supplies Be the frontline in educating clients on their pet's ocular disease and care Why BluePearl? The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for LVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150/year. Full-time LVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
