Lion Light's founder previously helped establish and scale prior firm to $2.5 billion of AUM. THE ROLEWe are hiring a Senior Associate (title based on experience) to join Lion Light's core investment team. On a lean team you will take real ownership across the full investment lifecycle and work directly with the firm's leadership, management teams, and investors.
Responsibilities include: Execution: Drive diligence and execution on new investments and inorganic growth opportunities. This includes financial modeling and valuation, commercial and operational diligence, managing third-party advisors, structuring, and debt financing processes. Investment committee materials: Craft investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee. Value creation: Work with portfolio company management teams to build and carry out value-creation plans, including add-on M&A, KPI and reporting development, strategic initiatives, and financing and recapitalization activities. Industry sector work: Thematic research and thesis building around prioritized sectors and sub-sectors. Firm building: Help shape Lion Light's processes, tools, recruiting and culture as the firm grows.
QUALIFICATIONS: Passionate about investing and building businesses 2–3 years of investment banking or top-tier management consulting experience, followed by 1–3+ years of private equity investing experience Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the judgment to connect the analysis to an investment thesis Hands-on experience across deal cycles and portfolio company value creation initiatives Excellent written and verbal communication, with the polish to earn the trust of founders, executives and investors An entrepreneurial self-starter who does well with autonomy and is excited to help build a firm Financial services industry experience is a plus Team player that is ready to work hard and have funWHY LIONLIGHTEarly seat at a growing firm, with direct exposure to decision-making and a clear path to more responsibility Meaningful ownership of deals and portfolio relationships from day one Competitive compensation, including co-investment and carried interest
