Job Description
Overnight Watchperson & Island Operations: Full-Time$25/hrOvernight Shift (11:30 p.m.–8:00 a.m.)The Overnight Watchperson & Island Operations is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth overnight operation of the Club and Tinsley Island facilities. This role includes overnight on-site coverage, security monitoring, emergency response, and support for general island operations. Overnight accommodation is provided 5 nights per week based on seasonal needs.
Key Responsibilities: Provide overnight security presence; conduct scheduled property rounds. Monitor alarms, cameras, building access, cooler/freezer temps and emergency systems and docks. Secure buildings, respond to incidents, and complete nightly reports. Assist with island operations including boat/equipment upkeep, facility systems, and preventive maintenance tasks. Support functions: phones, member assistance, reservations, guest logs, and basic administrative tasks. Perform some administrative duties, as needed. Perform some maintenance and grounds duties, as needed. Serve as Island Safety Officer, ensuring compliance and readiness of safety equipment.

  • Qualifications3–6 months related experience or equivalent education/training.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).Strong communication, situational awareness, and customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently overnight and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Must have boat-handling and mechanical skills.
  • Must obtain a CA Boaters card.
