Do you take ownership, solve complex problems, and turn customer challenges into results? Ferco Tech is on the lookout for an Account Manager in aerospace manufacturing who can build strong customer relationships, drive commercial decisions, and keep teams moving toward a solution. If you’re someone who digs into the details, makes sound recommendations, and follows through on commitments, we want to talk. At Ferco Tech, the Account Manager serves as a senior commercial resource between our Account Specialists and company leadership. You’ll take the lead on complex customer escalations, manage the RFQ process, and analyze pricing and profitability. Working closely with Planning, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Estimating, you’ll help ensure customer commitments are achievable, commercial decisions are supported by data, and issues are driven to closure. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of account performance and turns analysis into action. If you want to put your commercial experience and analytical skills to work for a growing company with a track record of investing in its people and its future, consider joining a business that aims to be world-class in everything we do. Full-time position available on 1st shift. This role demands precision, proactivity, and accountability—and the confidence to lead cross-functional efforts and make recommendations that influence business results.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the first level of escalation beyond Account Specialists for complex customer delivery, backlog, quality, pricing, and commercial concerns. Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to develop recovery plans and align customer communications with internal commitments. Support Account Specialists through difficult customer conversations and follow issues through to resolution. Own the daily RFQ process—from customer request through technical and cost reviews, pricing recommendations, submission, and follow-up. Partner with Engineering and Estimating to assess technical feasibility, review cost estimates, and prepare complete RFQ packages for commercial review. Develop pricing recommendations using manufacturing costs, gross margin, historical pricing, forecast volumes, customer demand, engine build rates, and competitive considerations. Analyze customer backlog, forecasts, delivery performance, revenue, profitability, and scorecards to identify risks and opportunities. Track quote outcomes and maintain win/loss reporting to improve quoting effectiveness. Support annual pricing reviews, pricing adjustments, and margin-improvement initiatives. Provide leadership with clear analysis and recommendations, escalating significant demand changes or commercial risks when needed.
Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Commercial Operations, Program Management, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing. Experience supporting RFQs, pricing, margin analysis, and complex customer issues. Experience working cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing costs, pricing, and profitability. ERP system experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills. Ability to coordinate teams without direct authority, manage competing deadlines, and recognize when leadership involvement is needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with Epicor ERP.
Eligibility Requirements: This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals under the Immigration and Nationality Act) due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status is required.
