Job Description The Journeyman Plumber will undertake a variety of plumbing projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial settings. Working mainly within local areas, the role involves collaboration with teams of varying sizes-from small groups to larger crews-and requires proficiency with standard plumbing tools as well as mobile applications for scheduling and reporting. This position emphasizes hands-on system installation, maintenance, repair, and strict adherence to plumbing codes to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain plumbing systems according to blueprints and specifications
- Diagnose and repair leaks and other plumbing issues efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints for accurate project execution
- Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters
- Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot system problems and implement effective solutions
- Provide excellent customer service and communication on-site
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct water testing and detailed site inspections
- Collaborate with medium to large teams to complete projects on time
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing and pipefitting
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Expertise with drainage and water supply systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Commitment to safety compliance on all job sites
