Job Goal: Responsible for the enrollment of students new to the district, private, charter and early intervention school transportation requests and any updates to addresses and or guardians of district students. This includes any related paperwork/computer work.
Essential Functions: Enroll students new to the district or students attending private, charter or early intervention schools that seek transportation. Process address changes. Identify registrations that require either multiple occupancy and support affidavits. Recognize homeless students or students in foster placements and forward to the appropriate district employee. Summer re-registration Abides by and complies with federal, state and local school laws, regulations and guidance, district policies and administrative regulations relating to student enrollment. Identifies and consults with supervisor regarding residency and enrollment issues of concern. Maintains confidentiality with all District information. Guides new families through the enrollment process. Obtain and review documents and applications, review and process both online and in-person registrations, address changes and transportation requests. Notifies the appropriate school, transportation and special education upon completion. Resolve or direct to the appropriate department all inquiries received from a parent, guardian or district employee. Inquiries are received in person, by email and by phone. Notify the appropriate attendance officer of any potential fraud learned. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.
