Custom Millwork Benchman

Primary Responsibilities: • Crafting Custom Woodwork: Create high-quality custom millwork items such as cabinets, furniture, and architectural details.• Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow detailed blueprints and drawings to meet the exact specifications of custom orders.• Machine Operation: Operate various woodworking machines like saws, planers, and joiners to cut and shape wood.• Hand Finishing: Use hand tools to finish surfaces, fit pieces together, and apply finishes.• Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet design specifications and high standards of craftsmanship.

Skills and Qualifications: • Experience: Proven experience required as a custom woodworker, with knowledge and understanding of historic millwork preferred.• Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard woodworking machinery and hand tools.• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise and detailed work.• Problem-Solving: Capable of troubleshooting issues during the fabrication process.• Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
