Leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable data solutions, the fully remote Managing Engineer, Data Engineering will mentor Data Engineers, promote engineering excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performing data products.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and coach Data Engineers while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Design, develop, and support scalable batch and streaming data solutions, integrating data from various sources
Establish engineering standards and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
5 or more years of experience designing and developing data solutions or enterprise software systems
Strong hands-on experience with data pipelines using Python, Java, Scala, or similar programming languages
Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and data modeling concepts
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, along with automated testing and Dev Ops practices
Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
