Electrical Designer

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Schedule: Hybrid — onsite Monday–Thursday; optional remote Friday

Salary: $95,000–$150,000

Employment Type: Full-time Relocation: Assistance considered case by case Gentis Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Designer for a confidential client. This role requires hands-on building electrical design and Revit proficiency. Candidates must be able to engineer systems, not only model designs created by others.

Responsibilities: • Design building electrical systems through SD, DD, and Construction Documents• Perform load calculations and determine electrical service requirements• Design power-distribution systems• Create one-line diagrams and panel schedules• Size feeders, circuits, and equipment• Apply NEC and applicable code requirements• Produce coordinated electrical construction documents in Revit• Coordinate with architects, engineers, utilities, contractors, and clients• Respond to technical questions during construction• Review work and mentor junior designers as applicable Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field• 4+ years of building electrical design experience• Experience making electrical calculations and design decisions independently• Experience across SD, DD, and Construction Document phases• Proficiency in Revit• Knowledge of the NEC and applicable building codes• Client-facing and multidisciplinary coordination experience• Ability to work onsite in St. Petersburg Monday–Thursday Preferred Qualifications• 7+ years of experience for senior-level consideration• Multifamily high-rise, apartment, hotel, condominium, or student-housing experience• Healthcare, data-center, restaurant, or commercial-building experience• Team leadership, delegation, and mentoring experience• PE license• Design-build experience Interview Process• Recruiter screening• Virtual hiring-team interview• Onsite technical interview and Revit assessment Base salary is $95,000–$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
