Licensed Behavior Specialist Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) to provide school-based behavioral support across three elementary school buildings in the Abington, PA area. This is a maternity coverage opportunity beginning in January and continuing through February, with the potential to continue providing behavioral support beyond the coverage period for those who are interested. This position is a great opportunity for an LBS who enjoys working with elementary-aged students and collaborating closely with teachers, related service providers, and school teams to support positive student outcomes.
Schedule: Approximately 8:15 AM–3:30 PM Setting: Three Elementary School Buildings Location: Abington, PA Area
Responsibilities:
  • Provide behavioral support and intervention services to elementary-aged students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and school staff to address student needs
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor student progress and guide interventions
  • Provide consultation and recommendations related to behavior, classroom strategies, and student support
  • Support the development and implementation of positive behavioral interventions and strategies
  • Assist educational teams in identifying barriers to learning and developing appropriate supports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate on student programming as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with school teams and families when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional, school, and regulatory requirements
  • Support safe, inclusive, and positive learning environments
  • Travel between the three elementary school buildings as needed
Qualifications:
  • Current Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) credential in Pennsylvania
  • Experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities preferred
  • School-based experience is a plus
  • Strong behavioral assessment, intervention, and data-collection skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
  • Required state and federal clearances
