Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer ( SRE ) - Terraform

Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)SOFT's client located in New York, NY (Hybrid) is looking for a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Terraform experience for a long term contract assignment. Qualifications include strong proficiency in writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Terraform IaC to provision AWS cloud infrastructure services. Experience in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated CI/CD GitLab pipelines is also required. Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure including Lambda, S3, SNS, data gateways, EC2, RDS Postgres DB, SQL-RDS, ECS (including Fargate), VPC, transit gateways, Direct Connect, ALB/ELB, Grafana, CloudWatch, Route53, DNS, EFS is necessary. Understanding of AWS IAM concepts and principles, including Okta, encryption, key management, certificates, vulnerability management, rehydration is also important. Desirable knowledge of Databricks, Starburst, Glue, EKS, AWS Multi-AZ, AWS Multi-Region is also required. Working knowledge of programming languages: Java, Python, Scala. Knowledge of containerized middleware (i.e. NGINX, JBoss, Tomcat, Corretto) is also required. Knowledge of DevSecOps, Agile-Scrum, JIRA methodologies is also necessary. Highly collaborative, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive positive customer outcomes. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and AWS certifications preferred. Candidate will be required to pass and IaC Terraform exam. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining AWS infrastructure, containerizing code and COTS tools, writing Terraform IAC code to install custom applications, AWS services, and COTS tools in AWS, creating CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to install and rehydrate in AWS, and taking software as a black box and deploying and installing in AWS.
