Category Lead / Category Operations Lead

We are hiring on behalf of aleading global e-commerce platformfor an experienced Category Lead / Category Operations Lead to drive the growth and commercial performance of key categories in the U.S. market. This is a highly commercial, ownership-driven role. You will act as aCategory Business Owner, taking responsibility for category strategy, revenue/GMV growth, merchant and brand development, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own category strategy and driveGMV/revenue and overall commercial growth
- Manage key business levers includingP&L/margin, assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising
- Develop and grow relationships withmerchants, sellers, brands, and strategic partners
- Identify market opportunities and translate insights into actionable growth strategies
- Drive seller/merchant growth and optimize category performance
- Make data-driven decisions aroundresource allocation, supply, and inventory
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
- Manage and develop Category/Vendor/Commercial teams where applicable
- Qualifications5+ yearsof relevant experience in e-commerce, marketplace, category management, vendor management, commercial operations, or FMCG/CPGDemonstrated ownership ofGMV, revenue, P&L, margin, or other significant commercial outcomes
- Strong understanding of category strategy, assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchant/seller growth
- Proven ability to drive a business fromstrategy through execution
- Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience with major e-commerce/marketplace platforms or leading FMCG/CPG companies is highly preferred
- People-management experience is a plus
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required
- Must be able to workonsite 5 days per week in New York or Los Angeles
