Job Summary: "MS Companies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting experience, along with supervisory experience in automotive or glass manufacturing. This role will lead a maintenance team, support equipment reliability and uptime, drive continuous improvement, and promote a strong safety culture. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. Supervisory experience in an automotive or glass manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of industrial plant utility systems, furnaces, and automated equipment. Experience working in a union environment and knowledge of collective bargaining. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Experience with float glass manufacturing operations. Knowledge of glass manufacturing processes. Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience developing and training maintenance personnel. Experience with industrial equipment including autoclaves, cutting tables, robotics, mills, lathes, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and fork trucks. Basic computer skills.
Day-to-Day
Responsibilities: Lead maintenance activities across float line systems, autoclaves, furnaces, cutting tables, robotics, and other manufacturing equipment. Ensure equipment uptime and product quality through preventive and corrective maintenance. Analyze equipment performance and downtime to identify opportunities to improve OEE.Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automated equipment issues. Coordinate maintenance activities with production, engineering, contractors, and other departments. Mentor and develop maintenance team members through training, coaching, and skill progression. Manage attendance, timekeeping, and performance while supporting a collaborative union environment. Enforce safety procedures, PPE requirements, audits, training, and incident investigation processes. Physical and Environment Requirements"Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include: standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25–50 lbs depending on role, working around industrial manufacturing equipment, and other work that may be performed in a manufacturing environment.
