RemoteABOUT THE ROLEIntuitive Websites is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to own a portfolio of client relationships and help those accounts move forward with clarity, confidence, and momentum. You’ll be the primary day-to-day partner for your clients, working closely with strategy, creative, development, SEO, paid media, content, analytics, and marketing technology teams. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, thoughtful, and an excellent communicator — someone who stays a step ahead, closes communication loops quickly, spots opportunities and risks early, and makes clients feel like they’re in very capable hands. WHAT YOU’LL OWNClient Leadership
- Own day-to-day relationships across an assigned client portfolio.
- Build trusted relationships by understanding each client’s business, goals, priorities, and challenges.
- Lead client meetings with confidence, warmth, preparation, and clear next steps.
- Serve as the client’s voice internally and manage expectations around timelines, scope, responsibilities, and priorities.
- Communicate proactively and responsively so clients always know where things stand.
- Surface concerns early and know when to bring in the Director of Client Services.
- Look for thoughtful ways to surprise and delight clients through proactive ideas, useful insights, celebrating wins, anticipating needs, and making their experience easier and more memorable.
- Champion the client by helping them communicate results, progress, and success confidently to their own leadership and stakeholders. Account Strategy & Execution
- Maintain a clear view of priorities, active initiatives, risks, and next steps across every account.
- Connect deliverables back to broader business and marketing goals.
- Partner with internal specialists to develop strong strategies, campaigns, and recommendations.
- Anticipate client needs, dependencies, and blockers rather than waiting for them to surface.
- Keep decisions, action items, owners, and dependencies documented and moving forward.
- Conduct regular independent research into each client’s industry, competitive landscape, audience, market shifts, and relevant trends to bring fresh context and opportunities into the relationship. Reporting, Scope & Account Health
- Help clients understand performance through clear reporting, insights, and recommendations.
- Use data and account context to identify what’s working, what needs attention, and where there may be additional opportunity.
- Understand each client’s scope, retainer, budget, and commercial structure.
- Monitor budgets, scope, account health, and retention risk, flagging concerns early.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for expanded services while protecting both the client relationship and agency profitability. Internal Leadership
- Translate client feedback into clear, actionable direction for the internal team.
- Give team members the context they need to do excellent work.
- Help resolve blockers, competing priorities, and unclear ownership.
- Bring potential solutions when raising problems.
- Hold communication loops and commitments accountable.
- Contribute ideas that improve both the client experience and the way Client Services operates.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: A successful Senior Account Manager:
- Knows the status, priorities, risks, and next steps across their accounts.
- Is proactive rather than reactive.
- Responds promptly and follows through without needing to be chased.
- Makes clients feel informed, supported, and confident.
- Identifies scope, budget, and account-health issues early.
- Can confidently lead most client conversations independently.
- Brings thoughtful recommendations rather than simply relaying information.
- Helps retain and grow strong client relationships.
- Rarely allows the Director of Client Services to be surprised by a client concern.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:- Several years of agency account management, client services, or related marketing experience.
- Experience independently managing multiple client relationships and concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- A proactive mindset and ability to anticipate needs, risks, and next steps.
- Strong meeting leadership and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness around scope, budgets, retainers, profitability, and account growth.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into useful client recommendations.
- Strong digital marketing fluency across websites, SEO, paid media, email, social, analytics, and marketing technology.
- Familiarity with platforms such as WordPress, HubSpot, and Google’s suite of tools.
- Warm, relationship-oriented, and comfortable holding boundaries or having difficult conversations when needed.
