Location: Austin, TX -based strongly preferred; open to remote with bi-monthly travel
Ideal Start Date: As soon as possible We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, emerging food & beverage brand to hire a Director of Marketing who will help lead the company through its next stage of growth. With significant retail expansion underway across major national and regional retailers, this is an opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on marketer to build the marketing engine behind a high-growth CPG brand. This person will own a broad marketing agenda spanning shopper marketing, retail media, brand management, in-store activation, and integrated marketing strategy, with a clear focus on turning growing distribution into velocity, awareness, and revenue. This is an ideal opportunity for a marketer who loves both strategy and execution. The team is looking for someone scrappy, analytical, culturally plugged-in, and excited to build within a fast-moving organization rather than inherit a large team or established playbook. What You’ll Own· Develop and lead the annual marketing strategy and integrated calendar across brand, retail, growth, and commercial priorities.· Own shopper marketing across key retail partners, including retailer-specific programs, promotions, merchandising support, seasonal activations, and POS materials.· Build and optimize the retail media strategy, aligning investments with distribution, velocity, and account priorities.· Lead day-to-day brand management while identifying opportunities to grow awareness, relevance, and household penetration.· Turn retailer data, syndicated data, campaign reporting, and consumer insights into actionable investment decisions.· Manage an annual marketing budget of approximately $500K–$3M, including planning, forecasting, allocation, and optimization.· Partner closely with sales to develop programs that strengthen retailer relationships and drive sell-in and sell-through.· Collaborate with growth, social, and creative resources to deliver a connected consumer experience across retail, digital, and social channels.· Build practical reporting and measurement around velocity, distribution, promotional lift, retail media efficiency, and ROI.· Serve as a strategic thought partner to company leadership while remaining hands-on in execution.
What We’re Looking For:- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience within CPG, with meaningful ownership across shopper marketing, retail media, and brand management.· Food & beverage experience strongly preferred; experience within frozen or another high-velocity retail category is a plus.· Strong understanding of how emerging CPG brands win at retail, including the relationship between distribution, velocity, promotion, merchandising, and consumer demand.· Experience developing retailer-specific plans and partnering with sales teams, brokers, agencies, and retail media networks.· Strong analytical instincts and experience using syndicated, retailer, consumer, and campaign data to guide decisions.· Experience managing and optimizing meaningful marketing budgets.· A scrappy, solutions-oriented builder mentality with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.· Strong cultural fluency and a pulse on the brands, creators, platforms, and trends shaping today's consumer.· Ability to thrive in a growing organization where priorities move quickly and leaders operate across both strategy and execution.
