Job PositionEssential Duties and Responsibilities 60% Reside on Shop floor -> Perform Process/Quality Audit, Training, Data Collection/Capture improvements via ECR, Process Sheets 10% review schedule & order preparation 10% Mentor, Train, Coach MIT team members through formalized process audit/scoring activities. 20% Follow up Documentation of issues & PDCA follow up, communication & cross functional team participation. Weekly report out EoL defects/SRO pareto by Supervised area, including for Top 3 issues: Process Audit Training Document improvement details & PDCA follow up as required, i.e. ECR, Process Sheet updates, Quality Alerts…etc. Companywide process audit / 5S Workplace Audit Coordination, scoring, top issues & follow up. As Required with documented report out Prototype & First Unit Review Ownership Customer Order / Sales Order review Nonstandard product & process preparation and follow up. Sales Order vs JBOM vs CBOM Quality Inspection integrity PDCA follow up of issues. Voice of Customer, Customer satisfaction concerns via Sales, Warranty and other. Process Audit Training Document improvement details & PDCA follow up as required, i.e. ECR, Process Sheet updates, Quality Alerts…etc. Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position. Qualifications: Thorough understanding of manufacturing process and line management Thorough understanding of engineering process to create BOM. Full understanding of business software as relates to inventory and shop floor. Basic Microsoft office computer application Ability to interpret CAD drawings/design. Ability to communicate with all levels of employees. Background in trailer manufacturing. Ability to use tools provided on the shop floor proficiently. Provide training as required to line/tack leader/PM with regards to assembly methods. Understand all media of communication. Must be capable of multi-tasking. Must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility of the job satisfactorily in accordance with company productivity and quality requirements. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Standing 10 - 15% of the time. Walking 70 - 80% of the time. Sitting 10 - 20% of the time. Reaching, pushing, pulling 3 - 6% of the time. Arm, wrist, hand, finger movement 10 - 15% of the time. Bending and twisting neck and trunk 10 - 20% of the time. Ability to verbally communicate. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear all verbal communication. Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally. Any weight over 50 pounds requires additional personnel or lifting equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision requirement 20/40 visual acuity (with or without correction) using Snelling Method Guidelines and Purdue Job Standards.
