About the Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. Your expertise will help improve patients’ quality of life by developing personalized therapy plans and collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Whether working in clinical settings, schools, or via telehealth platforms, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive speech-language pathology services that foster meaningful communication and functional independence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for pediatric and adult patients, including early intervention and geriatric populations. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care strategies. Document patient progress accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication development at home or in educational settings. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches for individuals with complex disabilities or speech impairments.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Proven experience working with children in pediatric settings such as schools or early intervention programs. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for diverse populations, including those with disabilities or neurological conditions. Familiarity with comprehensive speech and language evaluations and the ability to interpret assessment results accurately. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Experience implementing speech-language therapy plans across various environments—clinical, school-based, or telehealth settings. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and patient care processes.
Preferred Skills:
