Apply for this role →Agawam Rehab & Nursing Campus is seeking an experienced Medicaid Specialist to support our four skilled nursing locations. This is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for an organized professional with experience in Medicaid processing, billing, and insurance coordination.
Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year
What You'll Do:
- Review Medicaid applications and verify financial and personal information
- Interview applicants and family members as needed
- Document findings and assist with Medicaid approvals and denials
- Manage private billing and collection of outstanding balances
- Oversee monthly aging reports
- Execute admission agreements with residents
- Coordinate insurance authorizations and appeals
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with federal and state regulations
What We're Looking For:
- 1+ year of Medicaid processing experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
