Apply for this role →Our client, a growing third-party logistics provider specializing in time-sensitive, temperature-controlled freight, is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator for its Indianapolis operation. You'll keep shipments moving on schedule by coordinating drivers and carriers and resolving issues in real time. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and coordinate drivers and carriers for pickups and deliveries
- Monitor shipments in real time and proactively manage delays and exceptions
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, carriers, and customers
- Maintain accurate shipment records and status updates
Qualifications:
- Experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or logistics operations
- Familiarity with temperature-controlled, expedited, or time-sensitive freight is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Proficiency with TMS or dispatch software
