Position Description:
Assist Steamfitter Journeymen and Apprentices in performing duties as directed by supervisor, to include training in shop fabrication processes and job site installations within union contract. ?
- Assist in fabrication and installation of piping products and systems
- Work with journeymen and apprentices to construct fabrications from drawings
- Assemble and disassemble scaffold
- Assist in cutting, measuring and assembling products
- Deliver material to job sites
- Assist in the loading, unloading, and organized storage of materials
- Maintain a LEAN working environment
- Grind and core drill
- Assist in demolition
- Other duties may be assigned in accordance with the local union bargaining agreement Position RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
- Conscientious and safety-minded attitude
