Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities: Provide inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health medical management for child and adolescent patients. Complete psychiatric assessments, daily follow-ups, medication management, and treatment planning. Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, therapy, social work, and milieu staff. Document evaluations, progress notes, orders, and discharge planning in the EMR per policy. Support coverage needs across the child/adolescent inpatient service as a float provider.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Inpatient setting (Child/Adolescent) Exact shift pattern to be confirmed (days/evenings/weekends depending on coverage model)

Required Qualifications: Active Connecticut APRN license (or ability to obtain); PMHNP preferred. If applicable to the client†s model: PA candidates with relevant inpatient psych/behavioral health experience may be considered. Experience in behavioral health, with child/adolescent experience strongly preferred. DEA (or ability to obtain) and prescriptive authority per CT requirements. Strong clinical judgment, teamwork orientation, and comfort in an acute inpatient environment.

Preferred Qualifications: PMHNP with child/adolescent inpatient experience Prior float/coverage experience in inpatient settings Comfort managing complex presentations and coordinating with families/guardians
